Personal Consultations

Personal consultations offer dedicated time to discuss your practice, address obstacles, and explore what supports you as a practitioner.

These sessions are for anyone - whether you're new to Mysore Melbourne and wanting to understand if this approach is right for you, an established student working through challenges, or an experienced practitioner seeking deeper guidance.

What we might explore together:

  • Your current practice and where it wants to go

  • Working with injury, pain, or physical limitations

  • Establishing or sustaining a home practice

  • Balancing practice with life demands (work, family, caregiving)

  • Questions about the Ashtanga tradition or method

  • Navigating concerns or confusion about Ashtanga's history or current conversations in the community

  • Addressing barriers - physical, mental, or circumstantial - that keep you from practicing

  • Goal-setting and progression

  • Anything else that's arising in relationship to your practice

These consultations are yoga-specific but acknowledge that your practice exists within the context of your whole life. I'm Amanda Ferris, and I bring both my experience as a long-term practitioner and teacher, and my ongoing training in Gestalt psychotherapy, to create a space for honest, grounded conversation.

Session options:

15 minutes - $37.50 Brief check-in, specific question, or targeted guidance

30 minutes - $75 Time to explore one or two areas in depth

60 minutes - $150 Extended session for complex topics or comprehensive guidance

Sessions are available both in-person and online (mostly online), separate from regular class times.

New students: Your first 15-minute consultation is complimentary - a chance to meet, ask questions, and see if Mysore Melbourne feels right for you.

Current members: Depending on your membership level, consultations may be included. Check your membership inclusions or get in touch to confirm.
