Musings

“Everyone should rise early and marvel a few moments over the miracle of existence which is about to begin again, allowing this miracle to instill a deep-felt reverence for all life in the core of your being.”
-Robert E. Svoboda

I just found these words. And I felt resonance flare in my heart.

But it isn’t actually the first time I have found these words. I have, in fact, been finding and re-finding them for over 20 years because they live inside one of my favourite books.

Sometimes in my classes at Mysore Melbourne, we laugh out loud. (There has been more laughing lately.) I recall last week that we laughed and laughed because somebody made a discovery - only to realise the same discovery was already made some time back.

Life is like that. Every single day a miracle. Every single day a repetition.

Conscious breathing is a little bit magic. Because. It is both miracle and repetition. It is of the body (form) and it is not of the body (formless). It is here. It is now. It is marvel-worthy. It is deep-felt reverence worthy.

How many times will you discover it in this life?
