Our studio is open Monday to Friday from 6:00am - 10:30am.
The teacher is active and teaching in the room during two shifts:
Shift one 6:00am - 8:15am
Shift two 9:15am - 10:15am
Beginners and new students must arrive and start practice at either 6:15am or 9:15am. Please email Amanda before your first visit.
*Students who have an established student/teacher rapport with Amanda may arrive and practice at any time whilst the studio is open, keeping in mind that the teacher is not available for guidance or hands on assistance between 8:15am and 9:15am and after 10:15am. Please time your arrival with this in mind.
Saturday’s traditional counted primary series class starts at 8:00am sharp.
Chanting, chai and conference occur after class on the last Saturday of each month (except in December, January and July).
MYSORE - STYLE CLASs
A Mysore-style class is one where students are taught individually in a group setting. A typical class contains a range of practitioners from absolute beginners to adept practitioners. The class is mostly silent. You will hear only the breathing of other practitioners and the occasional voice of the teacher, who uses both words and hands on instruction. The class is both guided and supported in the hands of an experienced Mysore-style teacher.
Traditional Counted Primary Series (led Class)
During this class, the teacher counts in sanskrit whilst students move and breathe as a group. This weekly class functions as a helpful opportunity to clarify one's understanding of timing and practice details.
Conference occurs on the last Saturday of each month after led class (except in December, January and July). It is both a teaching and community building exercise. We drink chai, learn to chant sanskrit mantras relevant to our tradition, discuss yoga philosophy, and explore other practice details.
